Guest lecture on “Transitions in the Urban Metabolism”
On 12 September 2024, students of the study programmes Economics, Economics of Environment and Natural Resources, Accounting and Taxation and teachers of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Taxation attended an open guest lecture on “Transitions in the Urban Metabolism” by Karel Mulder, Professor of Urban Systems of the Future at the Hague University of Applied Sciences and Associate Professor of Sustainable Development Technologies at Delft University of Technology.
Karel Mulder has made a significant contribution to the formation of education for sustainable development, worked in the Dutch Sustainable Technology Development (STD) programme, and held a number of conferences for community representatives. The applicants received answers to a number of questions, including how to form sustainable urban systems, how to counteract climate change in economic development, how to create environmentally friendly living spaces, etc.
