The “Startup-Way to Success-2026” startup school at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University as part of the WIN2EDIH project: a review of the training programme for innovators and future entrepreneurs
Chernihiv Polytechnic National University has completed the “Startup-Way to Success-2026” programme, which ran from March to May 2026 as part of the WIN2EDIH project. The programme, dedicated to the theme “Innovative solutions for sustainable recovery and a digital future”, served as an educational and practical platform for forming and developing start-up teams and devising innovative solutions.
Throughout the training programme, participants worked on generating ideas and formulating value propositions, mastered modern approaches to startup development, studied the specifics of building business models using the Business Model Canvas methodology, familiarised themselves with the principles of the Lean Startup, and explored the potential for using artificial intelligence and modern digital tools in the work of start-up teams. Particular attention within the programme was paid to developing project presentation skills; participants worked on the Pitch Deck Method, honed their skills in creating compelling presentations, and received practical advice on presenting their own start-up ideas.
Thirty students successfully completed the programme and received certificates; throughout their studies, they actively worked on developing startup ideas and contributed to the formation of the university’s innovation ecosystem. The team of trainers and mentors at the start-up school included academic and teaching staff from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, representatives from the business and IT sectors, and start-up founders. The programme was implemented under the coordination of Kateryna Hnedina, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, and Coordinator of Start-up Development, Innovation and Project-Based Learning at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the trainers, mentors and partners of the startup school for their professionalism, support and contribution to the development of the university’s innovation ecosystem, and to the participants for their enthusiasm, creativity, drive for development and involvement in the startup movement at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.
