On February 28, 2024, the expert of the Office of Integrity of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption Hanna Tkachenko met with representatives of higher education institutions interested in introducing the educational discipline “Anticorruption and Integrity” into the educational process.

Chernihiv Polytechnic National University was represented by Oleksiy Seletskyi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Valentina Lytvynenko, Head of the Department of Public and Private Law, and Lilia Shestak, Associate Professor of the Department of Public and Private Law.

During the meeting, Hanna Tkachenko presented a summary, the structure of this educational discipline, its main goal, tasks. It was emphasized that the institutions of higher education that will take part in the project: will receive the educational and methodical complex of the discipline developed by the specialists of the National Academy of Sciences, which includes 13 lecture classes for students of higher education with materials for seminar classes and methodical advice for teachers; scientific-pedagogical workers who will teach the specified discipline will undergo training from NAKC experts and external experts; a series of trainings and lectures will be held for students and scientific and pedagogical staff of the higher education institution, and educational events will be held on the topic of anti-corruption and integrity.

The study of the academic discipline “Anti-corruption and integrity” will form higher education students’ understanding of the concept of integrity and virtuous strategies of behavior, as well as contribute to the assimilation of higher education students with practical skills that will help avoid corruption in everyday life and act virtuously in complex, ambiguous life situations.
