The main function of the mobile application “Reunite Ukraine” is the search for children who have disappeared, as well as the reunification of family members who were internally displaced, left the borders of Ukraine or were illegally deported to the Russian Federation, Belarus or temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine, the police have received more than 11,000 complaints about the disappearance of children. Currently, 381 children are actively wanted. In addition, according to the information of the National Information Bureau, 19,544 Ukrainian children have been deported (according to open sources announced by the Russian Federation, 744,000 children, more than 5 million people in total) and/or illegally relocated.

In order to improve the search for children, including the use of innovative approaches and international experience, regarding the protection of the rights and interests of Ukrainian children, in particular, regarding their search and reunification with their families, the National Police of Ukraine established close interaction and communication with by the American company “Find My Parent”, the main purpose of which is to expand the opportunities of people around the world to find and restore ties with their families using artificial intelligence technologies.

The Reunite Ukraine mobile application, jointly developed by Find My Parent and the National Police of Ukraine, is a universal tool for finding children who have disappeared or lost contact with them, as well as reuniting family members who were internally displaced, forced to leave borders of Ukraine or were illegally deported. The main goal of such cooperation is to help reunite missing Ukrainian children with their family members around the world.
