The pre-university preparation programme will enable students to adapt the knowledge they have gained to the Ukrainian education system. Successful completion of the Preparatory Department guarantees admission to Chernihiv Polytechnic National University or any other higher education institution in Ukraine.

Pre-university preparation consists of two stages:

I – language training

II – study of general subjects.

Groups are formed between 1 September and 1 November.

To enrol in the Foundation Programme, international students should contact the International Education Centre by sending an email to the official address, stating their intention to study, providing brief personal details and listing the documents required to proceed. Email: [email protected]

List of documents required for admission to the foundation course

Please provide the originals and submit notarised translations into Ukrainian (the surname, first name and patronymic must be identical—down to the last letter—in all documents):

• a standard personal data form (to be completed at the university);
• a valid visa for entry into Ukraine for study purposes;
• an official invitation from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
• a document certifying secondary or higher education and a transcript of marks (original and legalised copy/apostille);
• medical certificate of health (certified by the health authority of the country from which the foreign national has arrived, and issued no earlier than two months prior to entry into Ukraine) stating fitness for study (original);
• copy of birth certificate;
• 8 photographs measuring 60×40 mm;
• passport (to be submitted in person).

Foreign nationals are admitted to the Foundation Year on the basis of a signed contract.

The duration of the Preparatory Course for international students is 10 months.
