To be admitted to the university, a foreign national or stateless person must submit the following documents:

• the application form in the format prescribed by Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;
• the original degree certificate (or equivalent) issued in the country of origin and its supplement, together with a translation of the certificate and supplement into Ukrainian, certified by a notary in Ukraine (two copies). Educational documents obtained abroad must bear an apostille;
• a certificate of recognition in Ukraine of a foreign educational qualification, issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
• a Ukrainian translation of a foreign national’s passport document, which confirms the foreign national’s citizenship, identifies the foreign national or stateless person, grants the right to enter or leave the country, and is recognised by Ukraine, produced in Ukraine and certified by a notary (two copies);
• eight 30×40 mm photographs;
• a copy of the certificate of a Ukrainian living abroad (if available);
• a medical certificate confirming fitness to study at a higher education institution, certified by an official health authority in the foreign national’s country of origin or by a medical institution in Ukraine (issued no later than two months prior to entry for study purposes), and a notarised translation of the medical certificate into Ukrainian;
• written consent to the processing of personal data.

When applying for postgraduate study, applicants must also submit a research proposal in their chosen field of study, or a list of published research papers and inventions in Ukrainian or English, approved in accordance with the established procedure by the applicant’s place of work or study.

Important! Citizens of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus (with the exception of those listed in clause 7.2 of the 2026 Admission Rules), the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea who do not hold a permanent residence permit in Ukraine are admitted to study subject to individual permission from the Ministry of Education and Science.
