As part of the activities of the European Digital Innovation Hub WIN2EDIH, on 14 July 2026, representatives of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University (A.L. Prystupa, S.A. Stepenko, N.I. Kholyavko) held an online working meeting with the team from the Location Innovation Hub (LIH, Finland) – a hub specialising in the development of geospatial data technologies, artificial intelligence and digital innovation. The hub’s activities are coordinated by the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute (FGI), and its services are delivered in collaboration with a wide network of partners (locationinnovationhub.eu).

During the meeting, the parties presented the activities of their organisations and innovation hubs, familiarised themselves with the main areas of work, infrastructure, initiatives implemented and opportunities to support digital transformation, innovation and the development of entrepreneurship.

The participants discussed the common challenges facing European innovation ecosystems and identified potential areas for further cooperation. In particular, attention was focused on developing international partnerships, exchanging experience, supporting innovative start-ups, developing digital skills and implementing modern digital technologies.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their dialogue on formalising their cooperation through the signing of a memorandum of understanding, and to explore opportunities for implementing joint initiatives in the fields of innovation, digitalisation and international project cooperation.
