The Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences joined the week of the Institute of Economics, which took place at the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic” from 25 to 29 October.

On October 25, at the invitation of the department, Ksenia Taranenko – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Philology and Linguistic Communication of NTU “Dnipro Polytechnic” visited the university. She told about her own experience of popularizing the Ukrainian language on the Dnieper regional television, presented her book #proMovU and conducted an interactive game with students. During the visit, the areas of cooperation between the departments of philology and linguistic communication of NTU “Dnieper Polytechnic” and philosophy and social sciences of “Chernihiv Polytechnic” were identified, and an agreement on cooperation between universities was signed.

On October 29, the department organized an interactive historical game for high school students of the secondary school № 27 in Chernihiv. The board game “Ukrainian Revolution 1917-1921”, developed by the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, was conducted by Olena Gerasimenko, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Candidate of Historical Sciences of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University. Students showed the ability of critical and analytical thinking, got acquainted with the pages of their own history and information about the modern life of the university.
