From October 2 to 7, 2023, representatives of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University Natalia Ivanova (DEFEP project coordinator) and Serhiy Ivanets (DEFEP project chief manager) took part in a study visit to Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid within the framework of the DEFEP Project Erasmus+ KA2 international project “Distance education for future: best EU practices in response to the requests of modern higher education seekers and labor market”.

During the visit, the Spanish colleagues shared their experience in the development and implementation of distance education, the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process, the quality assurance system, they were introduced to the laboratories that technically allow teachers to create high-quality distance courses, and much more. The main issues that were discussed during the meetings were the following: effective visual support, resource design of the course, the importance of structured and organized distance learning programs, inclusive pedagogy, multimedia integration.

The visit became a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge and leading experience in distance learning. The conclusions obtained during the discussions will be useful for proposals to improve distance education at the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.
