On 24 August 2024, on the Independence Day of Ukraine, a member of the French Parliament Frederic Petit visited the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

This is the second visit of the deputy, who is a representative of the Democratic Movement and has been a member of the National Assembly of France since 2017.

During the meeting, Frederic Petit reaffirmed France’s continued support for the reconstruction of the Chernihiv region, which was affected by the war. In particular, attention is paid to the restoration of educational institutions, and the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University is one of the key objects of this support.

Mr. Petit stressed the importance of international cooperation in education and research, which is the key to Ukraine’s future recovery.

We express our sincere gratitude to the French government for its support and hope for further deepening of cooperation. Frederic Petit’s visit is yet another testament to the strong friendship between Ukraine and France in this difficult time for our country!
