On May 6, the startup school “StartUp – Way to success-2024” aimed at the support and development of young entrepreneurs and innovators was opened at Chernihiv Polytechnic University. The slogan of this year’s Startup Competition is “Innovative solutions for sustainable recovery and a digital future.”

More than 80 participants took part in the start-up competition, including students of higher education and vocational training, as well as students of secondary schools in Chernihiv and Chernihiv region. Educational events of the startup school are held on the basis of the Center for the creation and development of startups “Victory” of the Chernihiv Polytechnic University.

At the opening ceremony, Viktoriya Margasova – doctor of economics, professor, vice-rector for scientific work of Chernihiv Polytechnic University made a welcome speech. She emphasized the importance of interaction between the scientific and business sectors, supporting young innovators in the implementation of their ideas and projects.

Coordinator of the development of startups, innovations and project training of NU Chernihiv Polytechnic, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Kateryna Gnedina addressed the participants with a welcome speech, emphasizing that the Center for the Creation and Development of Startups provides comprehensive support to innovative projects in the city of Chernihiv, and also presented the roadmap for the implementation of the competition and the curriculum of the startup school.

Head of the department of marketing, PR-technologies and logistics, Ph.D. from state manager, associate professor Anna Verbytska highlighted the possibilities of the school’s participants taking the certificate course-internship “Creation and development of IT products” and familiarized them with the structure and content of the course in an interactive format.

The startup school “StartUp – Way to success-2024” promises to become a platform for the development of innovative ideas, to promote the formation of an entrepreneurial environment, and to help young talents make their way to success.
