In March-September 2024, Associate Professor of the Department of Architecture and Design Yuliia Shabardina took part in the international project ONLY (Open a New Leader in Yourself), implemented in collaboration with Tech StartUp School, Lviv Polytechnic National University and  Kingston University and supported by the British Council Ukraine as part of the Going Global Partnerships Gender Equality Partnerships.

The program was attended by 34 representatives of the Ukrainian higher education sector, who were selected from among more than 200 applicants.

The project was aimed at developing leadership and innovation in Ukrainian universities.

As part of the educational program, Yuliia Shabardina joined a series of online meetings with lecturers, including Pavlo Sheremeta (“Development strategy of Higher Education Institutions: modern realities”), Lyubomyr Matsekh-Ukrayinskyy (“Strategic vision of university development”), Vira Pustovit (“Personal brand of a leader”), Yaryna Kliuchkovska (“Strategic communications”), Olena Stepanenko (“Mediation”), Olena Chorna (“Emotional management and self-reflection”).

Participation in mentoring sessions from Ukrainian and British experts (Ivan Demydov, PhD, Professor, Vice-Rector for Research, Lviv Polytechnic National University and Martha Mador, Head of Entrepreneurial Education at Kingston University) allowed us to get advice and finalize our own project “Lean University: formation of Lean culture in the university environment”, which was presented in the final of the international project.
