International conference on the future of Ukraine
On November 24-25, 2022, the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of Lodz University with partners: Chernihiv Polytechnic National University and Ukrainian-Polish Academic Center of Science and Culture of Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin, the conference “Newkraine: reconstruction of Ukraine in a changing Europe” was held.
Almost 600 people from Poland, Ukraine, Great Britain and Canada took part in the two-day international conference on the future of Ukraine. The purpose of the conference was to create a space for a meeting and discussion of practitioners and scientists on the topic of economic and social challenges brought about by the war in Ukraine, the need for post-war reconstruction and the inclusion of Ukraine in the structures of the European Union.
Viktoriya Margasova, vice-rector for scientific work of Chernihiv Polytechnic University, doctor of economics, professor, honored economist of Ukraine, gave a welcome speech at the conference.
During the conference, 10 moderated discussion panels were organized, which discussed the topics of trade and investment, energy, integration with EU markets, farming, migration, social entrepreneurship, higher education, urban planning, trauma and war reparations. In addition, the Department of Social Work of Chernihiv Polytechnic University organized the discussion panel “Social entrepreneurship as a tool for solving social issues of society in the conditions of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine”, moderated by Revko Alyona, Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Social Work.
