Educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab” of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University under the leadership of Doctor of Economics, Professor O. M. Parubets joined the Global Money Week 2023 events, which are held at the initiative of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab” constantly conducts activities aimed at increasing the level of financial literacy and awareness of schoolchildren and students and has significant achievements in this direction. In 2020, the “CreativeFinlab” laboratory received the 2020 Youth Work Oscar of the Chernihiv region in the “Support of youth projects and initiatives” nomination; The project “Financially literate youth – a successful community” developed by the head of the laboratory O. M. Parubets was included in the catalog of best practices of youth work in Ukraine for 2020, which is published by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine together with the UN Development Program in Ukraine. Due to active participation in Global Money Week events, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University took 6th place in 2019, entering the Top 10 Higher Educational Institutions of Ukraine. In 2021, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University took an honorable third place, according to the results of Global Money Week 2021, more than 130 educational institutions took part in the events.

Despite today’s challenges, active participation in Global Money Week events was continued in 2023 thanks to a series of online events aimed at increasing the level of financial literacy among schoolchildren and students.

The first week, from March 20 to 26, 2023, was dedicated to activities aimed at increasing the level of financial literacy among schoolchildren. 23.03.2023 the head of the educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab”, doctor of economics, professor O. M. Parubets held an online webinar on the topic “Frugal behavior of youth in war conditions” for students of the 11th grades of comprehensive school No. 35 of the I-III degrees in Chernigov.

The second week, from March 27 to April 2, 2023, was full of various financial activities held within the framework of the “CreativeFinlab” educational laboratory for student youth.

On March 27, 2023, the head of the educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab” of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, Doctor of Economics, professor O. M. Parubets, held an interactive residents of territorial communities of Ukraine” for applicants educational degree “master” specialty 072 “Finance, banking and insurance”.

On March 28, 2023, the representative of the educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab”, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor I. V. Sadchikova held an online discussion on the topic “Business as a guarantee of supporting the economy in wartime” for students of the city of EP-9 of the Vocational College of Economics and Technologies of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University

On March 29, 2023, the representative of the educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab”, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor I.V. Sadchikova held an online webinar on the topic “Fraud: how to protect yourself in wartime” for students of the city of GR-8 and GR-10 of the Vocational College of Economics and Technologies of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

30.03.2023 the head of the educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab” of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, Doctor of Economics, professor O.M. Parubets held an online webinar on the topic “Modern trends in the development of the international financial market and their impact on the well-being of citizens” for degree holders “bachelor” specialty 072 “Finance, banking and insurance” 3rd year gr. FC-201.

On March 30, 2023, the head of the educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab” of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, doctor of economics, professor O. M. Parubets conducted an online quiz on the topic “Is cryptocurrency a reliable source of savings?” for bachelor’s degree holders, specialty 072 “Finance, banking and insurance”.

On 30.03.2023, the representative of the educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab”, Doctor of Economics, Professor N.I. Kholyavko conducted an online class on the topic “Financial infrastructure of the national economy and the well-being of citizens in my country” for holders of the educational degree “Bachelor » specialty 072 “Finance, banking and insurance”.

31.03.2023 the head of the educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab” of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, Doctor of Economics, professor O. M. Parubets, held an online webinar on the topic “The role of public finance in ensuring public welfare” for bachelor’s degree holders, specialty 073 “Management” 3rd year gr. PUA-201 and PM-201.

On March 31, 2023, the head of the educational laboratory “CreativeFinlab” of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, Doctor of Economics, Professor O. M. Parubets held an interactive class on the topic “How does financial literacy and improving the well-being of the population affect the development of the financial market?” » for bachelor’s degree holders, specialty 072 “Finance, banking ava and insurance” 2nd year gr. FK-211.

Head of the Department of Banking and Insurance Finance, Doctor of Economics, Professor M. V. Dubina and representatives of the “CreativeFinlab” educational laboratory organized an event for students of higher education specialty 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance” of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University “Bachelor’s”, “Master’s” educational degrees, guest lectures by leading specialists in the financial and banking spheres of Ukraine and EU countries.

On March 29, 2023, a guest lecture by Artur Zhavoronka, Doctor of Economics, owner of the consulting agency “PrivatConsult” on the topic: “How to legally run your own business.”

On March 31, 2023, a guest lecture by Iryna Murashkovska, analyst of the CRM department of the fintech company Nebeus (Spain) on the topic: “The Spanish financial landscape: from the traditional banking system to fintech innovations.”

On April 1, 2023, a guest lecture by Viktor Sadchikov, Ph.D., chief specialist of the business sector of individuals at JSC “PUMB” on the topic “Transformation of the banking system of Ukraine under martial law”.

We thank all the participants of the Global Money Week 2023 events, aimed at increasing the level of financial literacy, financial security and well-being of school and student youth, which are becoming especially relevant for developing the financial behavior of young people in war conditions.
