Development of scientific directions in construction and architecture

On May 23, within the framework of the week of science, the scientific seminar “Development of scientific directions in construction and architecture” was held in the walls of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

The event was held jointly with the National University “Poltava Polytechnic named after Yury Kondratyuk” and the Educational and Methodological Center of Vocational and Technical Education in the Chernihiv region.

The seminar was held in a mixed mode. The participants had the opportunity to talk with People’s Architect of Ukraine Pavlenko V., Honored Builder of Ukraine A. Sergeev, academicians of the Engineering Academy of Ukraine, corresponding members of the Construction Academy of Ukraine, scientists and practitioners in the field of construction and architecture present at the event.

During the seminar, the attendees were able to familiarize themselves with the peculiarities of the training of specialists in specialties 192 “Construction and civil engineering”, 022 “Design” and 191 “Architecture and urban planning” at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

First-year winners Kurishko S. and Yadchenko I. of the educational program “Construction and Civil Engineering” presented the idea of a StartUp project, which will participate in the university-wide project competition.

Those present were interested in the subjects of graduate student Danych D. and invited guests. In particular, the representative of MAPEI Filipovych V. shared the practical experience of restoring building structures that were damaged as a result of military operations, using modern system solutions and composite materials of the MAPEI FRP System.

After the presentations, there was a tour of the educational laboratories of the Department of Architecture and Environmental Design and Welding and Construction Technologies, as well as a lively discussion of educational and scientific issues.
