AWARDS TO THE WINNERS OF THE SCIENTIFIC AND CREATIVE ESSAY COMPETITION ON THE TOPIC “WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO PAY TAXES”:

On April 6, 2023, in the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Chernihiv Region, the winners of the scientific and creative essay competition on the topic: “Why is it important to pay taxes?”, held by the Department of Economics, Accounting and Taxation of the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic” with the support of the Main Department, were awarded State Tax Service in Chernihiv Region and the Department of Education and Science of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration.

The head of the Main Directorate of the DPS in the Chernihiv region, Lyudmila Slotiuk, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, who wished the youth representatives to continue to be on the cutting edge of everything new, to always take an active life position. Lyudmila Slotyuk thanked the supervisors of scientific works for their invaluable contribution to the formation of a comprehensively developed personality, and the students of vocational pre-higher education and students of general secondary education institutions of the city of Chernihiv and Chernihiv region – for understanding the need to pay taxes to the budgets, which they expressed in their creative essays. Svitlana Volkova, head of the personal taxation department of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Administration in Chernihiv region, noted the importance and expediency of holding such contests aimed at forming a tax culture, disseminating information among young people about the importance of paying taxes for the state, and involving young people in scientific activities in the field of taxation. The Department of Economics, Accounting and Taxation was represented at the meeting by representatives of the Competition Organizing Committee: Doctor of Economics, Prof. Olena Akymenko (coordinator of the meeting), Doctor of Economics, Assoc. Tetyana Klymenko, Doctor of Economics, Assoc. Julia Peretyatko.
