The library of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University has received a powerful treasure, which arrived thanks to the support of  Bonn-Rhein-SIeg University of Applied Sciences, Germany!

These are not just books – they are the gold standard of world science, recent 2020 –2026 editions from top publishing houses: Wiley, Pearson, Routledge, Oxford University Press, Elsevier, and Springer.

Thanks to the support of Germany’s Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, researchers and students of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University now have access to fundamental practical guides from IEEE and IET, covering everything from modern power system protection systems, EV charging stations, and solar photovoltaic systems; fresh editions on asynchronous programming in C++, memory management (C++ and Java 17), modern CMake, and compiler backend development from Packt Publishing; books on food microbiology, food chemistry, stabilizers, as well as bestsellers on the architecture of “smart” and sustainable cities of the future; the world-renowned textbook-bible by Philip Kotler, works on corporate finance and management; books on entomology and environmentally safe biopesticides; publications on social media linguistics, translation theory, as well as deep philosophical and psychological literature on overcoming procrastination and building personal boundaries; the latest textbooks on BIM modeling and SketchUp for architects, alongside works on vehicle dynamics and electric vehicles.

Thanks to a charitable campaign that began at the graduation ceremony in October 2025 at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, nearly €6,000 was raised to purchase books for the library of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University. The charitable aid was raised by friends and supporters of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, staff of the Department of Engineering and Communication, and the Department of Social Policy, thanks to lively auctions at Christmas events in 2025.

This is already the second initiative from the community of Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. Previously, they provided equipment for the student Maker Lab (an oscilloscope, a signal generator, a diesel generator, power supplies, a backup power supply with storage batteries, tools, etc.).

Many thanks to everyone: graduates, students, staff, and supporters of the university. Special thanks to Oleksandr Velihorskyi, a research associate at the Department of Engineering and Communication, for initiating support for Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, serving as a constant link between the two universities, collecting information, forwarding it, and negotiating with delivery services.
