Wolfgang Schneider visited the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University as part of his visit to Chernihiv region

On November 1, Chernihiv Polytechnic National University welcomed a special guest, Wolfgang Schneider, the Ukraine Activities Desk Officer at the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, who came to the university as part of his visit to Chernihiv region.

During the tour of the university, Rector Oleh Novomlynets showed the guest the modern laboratories equipped with the latest equipment for scientific research and practical training. He demonstrated how the integration of new technologies into the educational process allows students to acquire practical skills in accordance with current international standards. Rector also drew attention to the laboratories for 3D modeling, electronics and information technology, which are important centers for research and development.

Anatolii Prystupa, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, made a presentation of the university’s scientific activities. He acquainted the guest with the achievements of university scientists, as well as with the key areas of research and development that are being implemented within the walls of Chernihiv Polytechnic. During the presentation, Wolfgang Schneider had the opportunity to see examples of innovative projects and modern research being implemented in cooperation with Ukrainian and international partners.

In addition, Wolfgang Schneider visited the Center for Startups and Innovation “Peremoha”, where he got acquainted with projects developed by young entrepreneurs and innovators. At the Center, the guest was shown promising ideas and technologies aimed at solving current problems in various fields, from technology to social initiatives.

At the end of the visit, Wolfgang Schneider expressed his sincere gratitude to the university management for the hospitality, noting that the high level of material and technical facilities and innovative approach to education contribute to the international competitiveness of Ukrainian students and scientists. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between Ukraine and Germany, especially in education and research.
