Social Entrepreneurship as a Path to Sustainable Change: TURBO Program Participants Begin a New Learning Module
We continue sharing updates about the micro-credit educational program for retraining and social adaptation of internally displaced persons within the TURBO project. The new module, “Social Entrepreneurship,” has started, focusing on the methodological foundations of creating and developing social enterprises.
The goal of the module is to help participants understand how to combine business thinking with social responsibility, generate ideas to address socially significant challenges, and transform them into viable entrepreneurial models.
Within the course, participants explore the key principles of social entrepreneurship, study both Ukrainian and international practices, analyze examples of successful social businesses, and develop their own concepts of social initiatives that could become real projects of change in their communities.
The module is taught by Nadiia Nahorna, PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor, and Dean of the Faculty of Social Technologies, Health and Rehabilitation at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.
The TURBO project “The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises” aims to increase the resilience, preparedness and responsiveness of Ukrainian higher education institutions (HEIs) by building their capacities, improving competencies and sharing experiences.
