Pathways2Resilience (P2R) Summit

On 10-12 February 2026, Budapest hosted the Pathways2Resilience (P2R) international summit, which brought together around 100 European regions, representatives of EU institutions, experts and key stakeholders in the field of climate adaptation and regional resilience.

Chernihiv Polytechnic National University was represented at the event by Professor Zhanna Derii, Head of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Taxation. Participation in the Summit was implemented as part of the Chernihiv4Climate project “Chernihiv for Climate Action and Sustainable Transformation” (coordinator – Chernihiv Polytechnic National University), which is funded under a sub-grant from the Horizon Europe programme. The programme of the event included plenary sessions, thematic workshops and networking meetings aimed at exchanging experience, forming adaptation development paths, innovative portfolios and investment plans to increase the climate resilience of regions.

The P2R Summit provided an opportunity to present Ukraine’s experience and challenges in the field of climate change adaptation; to join the community of regions implementing systemic transformation solutions; to expand partnerships with European regions and experts; and to integrate modern approaches to strategic planning for climate resilience at the regional level.

We would like to thank the organisers for their thorough approach to preparing and conducting the Summit!
