Participation in the 15th “European-Ukrainian Energy Day”
On October 29, 2024, Kateryna Hnedina, Ph.D. in Economics and Associate Professor, Coordinator of Startup Development, Innovation, and Project-Based Learning at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, participated in the 15th “European-Ukrainian Energy Day” (“Building back better or faster: Pursuing the Balance”) held in Vienna in a hybrid format.
The event featured presentations by leading experts in the energy sector, government officials, and representatives from organizations and the private sector, who discussed the key challenges and opportunities facing Ukraine’s energy sector in the context of ongoing and post-war reconstruction. Notable speakers included Karlheinz Kopf, Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber; Mats Lundin, Chairman of the Board of EUEA, Chair of the EUEA Board; and Vasyl Khymynets, Ambassador of Ukraine to Austria, among others.
The speakers and participants focused on the practical implementation of energy reconstruction projects, the introduction of innovative technologies to meet sustainability standards, and the attraction of investments in renewable energy development. Experts also discussed a long-term vision and strategy for energy sector development amid uncertainty.
