Launch of the Course “Fundamentals of Business Design” within the Micro-Credit Educational Program for Retraining and Social Adaptation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)
Within the framework of the TURBO project “The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises”, the implementation of the micro-credit educational program for retraining and social adaptation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) has commenced.
The current phase of the program introduces the academic discipline “Fundamentals of Business Planning”. The course is designed to cultivate modern managerial thinking and develop a comprehensive system of specialized knowledge concerning the business environment. It also aims to enhance participants’ understanding of the conceptual principles underlying business creation, growth, and planning.Наразі розпочалися заняття дисципліни «Основи бізнес-проєктування». Метою курсу є формування у майбутніх фахівців сучасного управлінського мислення та системи спеціальних знань бізнес-середовища, розуміння концептуальних основ створення та розвитку власного бізнесу та бізнес-планування.
The curriculum comprises six practice-oriented modules:
- · Module 1. SME Value Assessment – focuses on the fundamentals of business, the development of business models, and the analysis of business environments;
- · Module 2. Business Project Management – addresses practical aspects of business administration, including cost management, organizational planning, and risk governance;
- · Module 3. Social Entrepreneurship – explores the methodological foundations of social entrepreneurship and the design of social enterprise models;
- · Module 4. Promotion on Global Marketplaces – provides participants with strategies for accessing and competing in international markets;
- · Modules 5 and 6 – involve interactive workshops on business start-up and employment strategies, conducted in partnership with the NGO “Chernihiv European.”
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- • forecast the outcomes of entrepreneurial activities;
- • design business plans for innovative entrepreneurial initiatives;
- • analyze social challenges to formulate the mission of a social enterprise;
- • develop strategies for promoting products in global digital marketplaces;
- • prepare professional résumés and portfolios to support career advancement.
The study of Module 1. SME Value Assessment commenced on 18 August. The initial sessions were dedicated to an overview of business models and the development of entrepreneurial ideas. Participants acquired foundational knowledge of the principles of successful business creation and the design of viable business models.
The course is delivered by Valentyna Moskalenko, PhD (Economics), Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing, PR Technologies and Logistics, and certified business trainer.
Subsequent publications will provide further insight into the upcoming modules and courses offered within the program.
