Guest Lecture: “Resistance Welding: A Core Process for Automotive Production”
On March 26, 2026, the Department of Welding and Construction Technologies hosted an online guest lecture on the topic: “Resistance Welding: Core Process for Automotive Production” by Professor Jose Castillo of the University of São Paulo (Brazil).
The lecture was attended by both students and faculty members of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University majoring in:
- · G19 Construction and Civil Engineering;
- · G9 Applied Mechanics;
- · G11 Industrial Engineering;
- · E2 Ecology,
- · as well as students and faculty members from the Department of Computer Information Technologies at the Donbas State Machine-Building Academy.
The lecture covered key aspects of resistance welding as one of the core processes in modern automotive production. Particular attention was paid to technological parameters, factors determining the quality of welded joints, and modern approaches to optimizing production processes.
