Business Psychology for Developing Entrepreneurial Resilience: Continuing Our Coverage of the TURBO Micro-Credit Educational Program

We continue to share insights about the TURBO educational program for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. The course “Business Psychology” helps participants develop psychological readiness for entrepreneurial activity by expanding their understanding and practical skills in personal development, interpersonal interaction, and problem-solving in business contexts.

In the first module, participants explore the psychological foundations of entrepreneurship and leadership. They study the motivational factors that shape entrepreneurial behavior and learn to cultivate key personal qualities necessary for success. Special emphasis is placed on leadership, business values, and teamwork. Participants also acquire techniques in business communication and negotiation, career development, stress and conflict management, emotional intelligence, and psychological self-support skills.

The second module is delivered as a series of socio-psychological adaptation workshops. The “Goal Setting and Time Management” workshop helps participants plan their activities effectively and achieve objectives, while the “Personal Resilience in Crisis Conditions” course builds adaptability and resourcefulness in times of uncertainty. The module concludes with the “Mediation as a Tool for Resolving Business Conflicts” workshop, which introduces approaches for constructive dispute resolution in professional environments.

The course is taught by Nadiіa Nahorna, Dean of the FSTHR, and Kateryna Maksom, Head of the Department of Social Work and project coordinator from the university, with additional contributions from experts of the NGO Chernihiv European.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to effectively apply psychological tools for developing their own business, fostering team collaboration, managing stress and conflicts, and shaping strategies for personal and professional growth.

The TURBO project “The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises” aims to increase the resilience, preparedness and responsiveness of Ukrainian higher education institutions (HEIs) by building their capacities, improving competencies and sharing experiences.
