The procedure for electing the rector of a higher education institution is regulated by Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, “Guidelines on the peculiarities of the electoral system and the procedure for electing the head of a higher education institution”, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 5, 2014 № 726, University Statute, as well as certain Regulations of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, provided by the “Guidelines for the peculiarities of the electoral system and the procedure for electing the head of a higher education institution”.

The election of the Rector of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University will take place on November 25, 2020 from 9:00 to 15:00 in the assembly hall of the building №1 of the University (Shevchenka Str., 95).

Results of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University rector election:

On November 25, 2020, the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University rector election took place. The only candidate for the rector position is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Oleh Oleksandrovych Novomlynets.
491 voters took part in the voting, which is 92.81% of the total number (529 people).
The election was attended by a representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine – V.M. Shymanskyi, Deputy Director of the Personnel Department.
The candidate for the position of rector, Novomlynets O.O., received 482 votes, which is 91.12% of the total (529 people). Thus, taking into account the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 05.12.2014 №726 “Some issues of implementation of Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” Oleh Oleksandrovych Novomlynets was elected Rector of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.
