Rector election 2017
The Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated March 27, 2017 № 114-к announced a competition for the position of Rector of Chernihiv National University of Technology.
The newspaper “Osvita Ukrainy” № 1515 dated April 3, 2017 published an announcement on a competition for the vacant position of Rector of Chernihiv National University of Technology. The announcement is also posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The procedure for electing the rector of a higher education institution is regulated by Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, “Guidelines on the peculiarities of the electoral system and the procedure for electing the head of a higher education institution”, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 5, 2014 № 726 Statute of ChNUT, as well as certain Regulations of the Chernihiv National University of Technology , provided by the “Guidelines for the peculiarities of the electoral system and the procedure for electing the head of a higher education institution”.

The of Chernihiv National University of Technology rector election will take place on June 22, 2017 from 9:00 to 15:00 in the assembly hall of the main building of the university (95 Shevchenko Street)
Results of the ChNUT rector election
The Chernihiv National University of Technology rector election took place on June 22nd. The only candidate for the rector position is Doctor of Economics, Prof. Shkarlet Serhii Mykolaiovych.
650 voters took part in the voting, which is 95.03% of the total number of voters (684 people).
The election was attended by a representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine – Shymanskyi V.M., Deputy Director of the Personnel Department.
The candidate for the rector position, Shkarlet S.M., received 609 votes, which is 89.04% of the total number of voters (684 people). Thus, taking into account the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” and the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 05.12.2014 №726 “Some issues of implementation of Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” S.M. Shkarlet was elected Rector of Chernihiv National University of Technology.
