The main tasks of the university rector’s adviser on the protection of the state language are:

– protection of the rights of students of higher education to receive educational services in the state language at the University and elimination of obstacles and restrictions in the use of the state language;

– control over the use of the state language by university employees during their official duties;

– submitting proposals to the rector of the University regarding the popularization of the Ukrainian language;

-consideration of complaints regarding non-compliance with the requirements of the legislation on the state language, public humiliation or contempt of the state language by participants in the educational process.

Regulations on the university rector’s adviser on the protection of the state language

We suggest that if there is information about violations of the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language”, in particular the provisions of the first part of Article 21 of this Law (the language of the educational process is the state language), to report specific cases of non-compliance with the requirements regarding the mandatory use of the state language during the educational process at the university.
