Working meeting at the Tutoring and Mentoring Center with the student government

On August 29, 2025, a working meeting between the management of the Tutoring and Mentoring Center and representatives of the university’s Student Council took place at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

During the meeting, the candidates for tutors of first-year academic groups for the new academic year were approved from among higher education applicants who successfully completed the three-day Tutor School in 2024 and 2025 as part of the Erasmus+ KA2 PROMENT project “Promoting professional education and students engagement through comprehensive mentoring and tutoring system at HEIs.”

Particular attention was paid to planning further cooperation between the Tutoring and Mentoring Center and the student self-government. A number of initiatives and measures aimed at supporting tutors, developing leadership skills, forming academic culture, and creating a friendly educational environment were discussed. This is an important step in ensuring effective support for first-year students and developing a student mentoring system that is based on the principle of “peer-to-peer” and helps young people adapt more quickly to university life and improve their academic performance.
