“Women – leaders of change. The role of women in community renewal processes”
On March 17-18, the forum “Women – leaders of change. The role of women in community renewal processes” was held, which became the final event of the project “Women – agents of social cohesion and renewal in communities”.
From the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, the following participated in the event:
- Olha Melnyk – Vice-Rector for scientific-pedagogical work and social development of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, Head of the NGO “Center for Gender Education”
- Nataliia Shakun – Head of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor, expert of the gender education project.
- Alla Nitchenko – Associate Professor of the Department of Law Enforcement and General Legal Disciplines, project analyst.
- Maryna Zakharina – Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work, moderator of the forum.
- Kateryna Maksom – Head of the Department of Social Work, Candidate of Psychology, Associate Professor
- Victoria Shvets – Head of the Press Service Department, project communicator.
- Oksana Shuba – student of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Environmental Management and Humanities, project participant.
Olha Melnyk made a report in which she shared the key stages of the project implementation, the challenges that arose during its implementation, and the main achievements.
The results of the sociological study of women’s capacity for social cohesion and recovery in communities, conducted within the framework of the project, were presented by Nataliia Shakun and Alla Nitchenko.
This forum became an important platform for discussing the role of women in the recovery of communities and strengthening social cohesion!
The project “Women – Agents of Social Cohesion and Regeneration in Communities” was implemented by the NGO “Center for Gender Education” with the support of UNDP in Ukraine and funding from the Government of France.
