WEBINAR ON THE FUNCTIONALITY OF “NIBELUNG” FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN PHILOLOGY

On September 23, the Department of Foreign Philology took part in a webinar dedicated to exploring the functional features of the modern software “NIBELUNG”, within the framework of the Research Laboratory of Integrated Humanitarian Studies. During the event, the lecturers had the opportunity to receive training and gain a clear understanding of the tools and technologies offered by this system. The “NIBELUNG” program was designed to transform an ordinary computer classroom into an interactive multimedia environment. It actually serves as a new-generation language laboratory, giving both teachers and students more flexibility in organizing the learning process.

Special attention should be paid to the fact that the software makes it possible to manage multimedia and Internet resources, making the learning process more dynamic. The system can be applied not only when teaching foreign languages but also for general education subjects, computer technologies, and presentations. Among the additional advantages of the program are opportunities for developing speaking skills, translation skills, digital competences, and conducting classes in different formats.

An important component of “NIBELUNG” is the testing module, which allows teachers to create and edit their own tests, carry out knowledge assessment, and analyze the results. At the same time, the developers have made it possible to include a wide range of materials in test tasks: texts, images, audio and video files, as well as resources from the Internet. In this way, the system not only expands the opportunities for teachers but also makes the educational process more visual, interactive, and effective.
