On 21 November, 2024, Robert Northoff, a representative of educators and scientists from the Landtag of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, visited Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the university administration.

Among those present were:

• Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Anatolii Prystupa
• Dean of the Faculty of Social Technologies Nadiia Nahorna
• Dean of the Faculty of Law Oleksii Seletskyi
• Head of the Department of Social Work Kateryna Maksom
• Head of the Department of Personnel Management and Business Technologies Liudmyla Remnova.

Robert Northoff was presented with the main achievements of the university and was told about the challenges it faced due to the military aggression of russia. Particular attention was paid to the activities of the Department of Social Work, which not only actively develops research and educational initiatives but also plays an important role in supporting the community. The guest praised the university’s contribution to the social stability of the region.

In the second part of the visit, Robert Northoff got acquainted with the activities of the Centre for Startups and Innovations “Peremoha”. He was presented with unique eco-projects, including technologies for environmentally friendly plastic recycling, which is transformed into creative products. In addition, the guest was told about initiatives that promote sustainable development and the introduction of modern technologies.

Robert Northoff’s visit was an important event for the university, which underlined its commitment to strengthening international cooperation and integration into the European educational and scientific space. Such meetings serve as a foundation for expanding partnerships, promote the development of joint projects, and demonstrate the openness of Ukrainian education to innovation.
