University lecturers have successfully completed an international internship in Croatia

The academic staff of the Faculty of Law of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University has successfully completed an international internship at the Jean Monnet Interuniversity Centre of Excellence (Opatija, Croatia).

From 17 March to 18 May 2025, Olena Kozynets, Head of the Department of Law Enforcement and General Legal Disciplines, and Alla Nitchenko, Associate Professor of the same department, took part in the international internship programme ‘Trends and Current Issues of Law: including Security, Psychology and Communication’ and received certificates confirming their high professional qualifications and international competence.

The internship was organised by the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka (Croatia), Jean Monnet Interuniversity Centre of Excellence, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (Ukraine) with the support of E-Science Space (Poland).

The internship programme included remote participation in online lectures by leading European scholars on topical issues of law, security, communication and management, as well as in-person participation in the International Scientific Conference ‘Trends and Topical Issues of Law, Security, Psychology and Communication’, panel discussions on ‘Modern Trends in Law’, trainings and master classes held in Opatija (Croatia).

Participation in the internship contributed to raising the professional level, expanding scientific and methodological, pedagogical, legal and managerial competencies, as well as exchanging experience with colleagues from other countries: Romania, Slovakia, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Singapore.

As part of the internship, agreements were reached to sign memoranda of cooperation with Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko and Odesa National Polytechnic University. New international contacts have also been established with the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka, the University of Applied Sciences PAR, the Jean Monnet Interuniversity Centre of Excellence (Croatia) and the Faculty of European Studies of Cluj-Napoca (Romania).
