Training session as part of the Lab2Market AgroTech educational programme

On 5 March 2026, the Lab2Market AgroTech educational programme hosted a training session on the topic “Digital Field: Innovative Agricultural Solutions”, led by Iryna Korotka, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences and Associate Professor at the Department of Agricultural Technologies and Forestry at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

The training was prepared and conducted as part of the “European Digital Innovation Hub WIN2EDIH” project (Digital Europe programme). The event focused on modern approaches to the application of precision farming technologies. The main aim of the training was to guide participants from a theoretical understanding to the practical use of key digital tools in agricultural production. Korotka I. spoke in detail about the possibilities of collecting data using GPS sensors, processing it and converting it into smart maps using GIS technologies. Particular attention was paid to how such digital maps help in making effective management decisions, promoting economically viable and environmentally responsible farming.

About the programme: Lab2Market AgroTech – an educational programme for researchers, inventors and start-ups working in the field of agricultural technologies – is implemented by the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation (UKRNOIVI) with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The programme aims to support the commercialisation of research results and technological developments in the agricultural sector and helps participants progress from a scientific idea or prototype to a ready-to-market solution.
