The team of the startup “Green Reconstruction of Ukraine” implements measures for environmental transformation and landscaping of the space of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University
As part of the implementation of the Green Reconstruction of Ukraine startup, the project team (Anastasia Soroka, specialty 051 “Economics”; Viktoriia Bybyk, specialty 051 “Economics”; Alina Bilous, specialty 071 “Accounting and Taxation”; Serhii Mazur, IT consultant of the team, graduate of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University; Kateryna Hnedina, supervisor, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Accounting and Taxation) implemented a number of measures to green the space of educational classrooms of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, which contributes to the creation of a comfortable environment and reduces stress for higher education students and research and teaching staff.
Green areas in classrooms were created by placing environmentally sustainable and low-maintenance indoor plants that improve air quality, as well as by installing florariums – special glass containers with ornamental plants that create a special aesthetic atmosphere in the university space. In addition, the startup team donated seedlings for an orchard and held training events for students to develop their environmental awareness and increase their involvement in environmental projects and startups.
The initiatives of the Green Rebuilding Ukraine startup are aimed at developing the skills of young people necessary for the green rebuilding of Ukraine, forming an environmentally conscious generation, and enhancing the innovative activities of young people to develop environmental innovations. The greening of the university space was implemented with the support of the Centre for Creation and Development of Startups of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.
