The team of the legal clinic “Adiutorium” LawForce represented Chernihiv Polytechnic National University at the final stage of the International Internship for students of legal clinics
On April 07-08, 2025, the team of the legal clinic “Adiutorium” LawForce from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University took part in the final stage of the internship organized by the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine in partnership with the National Agency for Civil Service of Ukraine with the support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and financial assistance from the Government of Sweden.
Our team includes:
- – Anzhelika Moskalenko;
- – Aisel Kasymova;
Supervisor: Alla Nitchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Law Enforcement and General Legal Disciplines.
This event was the logical conclusion of the programme aimed at developing students’ legal competences and raising the level of legal awareness of future public administration professionals.
1️⃣ On the first day of the internship, the participants joined the workshop ‘The Role of Officials in Ensuring Good Governance: Balance between Principles and Procedures’, conducted by Oleksandr Solontai, local development expert and head of the NGO ‘Agency for Recovery and Development’. During the event, practical approaches to implementing integrity standards in local self-government bodies were discussed, as well as the challenges faced by civil servants in ensuring openness and transparency.
In addition, each team received a practical assignment – a case study to solve a legal situation. The students conducted in-depth analysis, studied relevant regulations, applied methods of legal argumentation, and demonstrated their work in front of judges, answering questions and defending their position.
2️⃣ The second day of the internship was no less intense. Participants presented the results of additional tasks related to the study of real cases in which the public played a key role in making management decisions. This format contributed to a deeper understanding of the interaction between the government and society.
There was also an assessment test based on the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service (NAUCS) methodology, which allowed students to get acquainted with the real tools used in the selection and evaluation of civil servants.
The next stage was a workshop by a guest lecturer, during which participants discussed ethical governance, transparency of procedures and the role of legal education in shaping a new generation of virtuous managers.
The day ended with the solemn announcement of the competition results. All the teams were recognised for their high level of preparation, creative approach and active participation. This experience was not only educational but also inspiring for all participants!
