The “Peremoha” Center at the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University received its own hybrid solar power plant with a capacity of 15 kW!
The installation of the equipment began during a two-day practical workshop with the mobile maker space #TOLOCAR. Veterans and city residents learned to work with renewable energy sources together and participated in the preparatory stages. The installation work continued for another two weeks with the support of the volunteer organizations Building Ukraine Together – BUR, Repair Together and students of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.
All work was coordinated by the team of the NGO Eco City. Now we have our own source of clean energy, which will help increase energy independence and sustainability. Peremoha Lab will become autonomous, the shelter will receive backup power!
Used solar panels from the Czech Republic were received as part of the Sun for Ukraine humanitarian project. Delivery to Ukraine was made possible thanks to the generous support of FEČ s.r.o., the non-governmental organization NESEHNUTÍ and dozens of individual donors from all over the Czech Republic. Hybrid Inverters and batteries with a total capacity of 20 kW were purchased with the support of the European Endowment For Democracy. Metal frames, hardware and all related infrastructure were purchased at the expense of a special fund of the university.
Sincere thanks to our partners!
