The international summer school UniCities 2025 has started
On 7 April 2025, within the framework of the ERASMUS project ‘Unlocking the Transformative potential of Ukrainian Universities towards climate neutral and sustainable cities’ (UNICITIES), the international summer school UniCities 2025 – ‘Sustainable development of recreational complexes and their integration into the community in the context of climate change’ – started in Slavsko.
The school brought together students of Ukrainian higher education institutions, researchers, and practitioners to study the modernisation of recreational facilities in line with environmental standards, analysis of energy consumption, water supply, waste management, and interaction of tourist facilities with local communities.
Chernihiv Polytechnic National University is represented by the students of the study programmes ‘Economics of Environment and Natural Resources’, ‘Food Technologies’, ‘Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics’, ‘Software Engineering’ – Anastasiia Soroka, Tetiana Haidai, Bohdan Shelupets, Ivan Kuzmenko, Oleh Khromov, Olena Shynkarenko and the Head of the Department of Accounting, Taxation and Audit Zhanna Deriy
The training will result in practical recommendations for the ecological modernisation of recreational complexes, in particular the Polytechnic-2 base of Lviv Polytechnic National University
