The “Insulin Without Queues” start-up: a finalist in the “Melville Sikorsky Challenge Accelerator Lviv 2026” international competition for innovative start-up projects
On 29–30 April 2026, Kateryna Hnedina, PhD in Economics and Coordinator of Start-up Development, Innovation and Project-Based Learning at Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, Kateryna Hnedina, took part, as part of the “Insulin Without Queues” start-up team, in the final stage of the “MSCA Lviv 2026” competition, which took place in Lviv and was organised by the Melville Sikorsky Challenge Accelerator in collaboration with the “Sikorsky Challenge” Innovation Holding.
Teams from not only Ukraine but also Europe, the USA and other countries took part in the final, highlighting Ukraine’s growing role as a hub for technological innovation. Over 100 applications were submitted to the open competition as part of the “Melville Sikorsky Challenge Accelerator Lviv 2026”, from which an expert jury selected 44 projects for the final.
The finalists were divided into three key categories: 15 projects (Defence & Security); 17 – Biomedical Engineering & Health; 12 – Renewable Energy & Energy Security. The finalists of the “Melville Sikorsky Challenge Accelerator Lviv 2026” will have the opportunity to present their projects to international investors and take part in mentoring and acceleration programmes.
