THE FIRST GAME OF “KRYHOLAMY” WAS HELD AS PART OF THE CAMPAIGN “16 DAYS AGAINST VIOLENCE”
On 25 November 2024, as part of the 16 Days Against Violence campaign, the Centre for Gender Education of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University together with the Department of Law Enforcement and General Legal Disciplines organised and conducted the board game “Kryholamy” (“Icebreakers”). The game is aimed at changing social norms to prevent domestic violence.
The event was attended by a team of students of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, which included students of the ESI of Law and Social Technologies and the ESI of Business, Economics and Administration.

The game was facilitated by Maryna Zakharina, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work and facilitator of the UNFPA “Kryholamy” (“Icebreakers”) game.
The aim of the event was to help participants understand and master all the stages of changing social norms to prevent domestic and gender-based violence in communities. Participants gained skills in creating projects on this topic and planning the implementation of proposed initiatives.
The board game was prepared as part of the UNFPA programme on combating and preventing gender-based violence, which is funded by the governments of the United Kingdom and Canada, and in collaboration with the NGO “Innovative Social Solutions”.
