The fall semester of the TURBO project is starting. The official opening took place in Chernihiv on August 15
On August 15, 2025, the grand opening of the second (autumn) semester of the microcredit educational program for retraining and social adaptation of internally displaced persons within the project “TURBO. The universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage crises” took place online.
The group is starting training in the field of “TURBO: Educational Program for Small and Medium Business Development” at the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic.” Comprehensive measures for psychological and legal adaptation, assistance in finding employment and starting one’s own business are being implemented by the NGO “Chernihiv European.”
The group was welcomed by:
- – Veronika Vakulenko, Associate Professor at Nord University (Norway), Institutional Coordinator of the TURBO project;
- – Volodymyr Rubtsov, President of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation;
- – Oleh Novomlynets, Rector of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.
In their speeches, the speakers emphasized the importance of the program for improving professional, entrepreneurial, and social competencies, supporting the social adaptation of internally displaced persons, and creating opportunities for professional self-realization.
Kateryna Maksom, project coordinator from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, presented the training program, familiarizing participants with the thematic modules, format of work, and expected results. She emphasized that the combination of theoretical training, practical case studies, and mentoring support will contribute to the formation of sustainable business ideas ready for implementation in modern conditions.
The planned classes will cover the following topics:
- Modern web design and online communication tools;
- Business planning;
- English for business;
- Business psychology.
