Spring school at Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University.

In the period from April 15 to 18, 2024, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 PROMENT international project “Promotion of professional education and active participation of students through the establishment of a comprehensive system of mentoring and tutoring in higher education institutions”, the Spring School was held at Batumi State University named after Shota Rustaveli (Georgia).

It was attended by:

  • Lyudmila Remnyova, head of the department of personnel management and business technologies, project coordinator from the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University,
  • Anna Verbytska, head of the department of marketing, RR technologies and logistics, deputy head of the Tutoring and Mentoring Center,
  • Alla Kholodnytska, associate professor of the department of personnel management and business technologies, head of the Tutoring and Mentoring Center of Chernihiv Polytechnic University.

During the Spring School, the participants got acquainted with the practical experience of implementing mentoring and tutoring programs at the Silesia University of Technology (Poland), the Vienna University of Technology (Austria), the University of Aveiro (Portugal) and the University of Perugia (Italy), as well as the peculiarities of starting tutoring and mentoring centers at Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University, Georgian Technical University (Georgia) within the framework of the PROMENT project.

During practical trainings and lectures, special attention was paid to methodological tools, organizational support and algorithms for the implementation of tutoring and mentoring in European universities – project partners. The participants of the Spring School got acquainted with modern methods of supporting students, identifying their needs and problems, planning goals and individual trajectories of professional development, creating an inclusive and favorable environment for different groups of students, which can be used in the process of building a comprehensive mentoring system in Ukrainian and Georgian universities.
