From 1 to 5 July 2024, the Summer School “Social Work and Social Change: Human Rights in Social Crisis” was held in Tbilisi (Georgia) within the framework of the cooperation of the National University of Chernihiv Polytechnic with partner universities of Georgia and Switzerland.

A group of higher education students headed by Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work Kateryna Maksym and Head of the Department of Law Enforcement and General Legal Disciplines Olena Kozynets were invited to participate in the Summer School.

The programme of the school included group presentations by participants on existing human rights challenges in each country, thematic study tours, and group work sessions on issues such as the work of penitentiary institutions, internally displaced persons, and domestic violence. The Summer School culminated in a conference with presentations by students and invited academic staff.
