On 15 January 2025, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, represented by Rector Oleh Novomlynets, and the Department of Urban Development and Architecture of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, represented by its acting head Serhii Kurenia.

The memorandum envisages a number of areas for cooperation, in particular: the study and preservation of unique cultural heritage sites in Chernihiv region. It also envisages cooperation in organising educational and scientific events (conferences, seminars, trainings, workshops, etc.).

Both parties expressed their hope for fruitful cooperation and readiness to implement joint initiatives that will contribute to the development of education, science and professional training in the Chernihiv region.
