On 26 June, the forum “City Makers” was held on the basis of the National University of Chernihiv Polytechnic at the initiative of the NGO “Eco City”. During the forum, speakers told a lot of interesting information for our participants, in particular:

• – The impact of modern technologies on the development of urban infrastructure, presented by Kostiantyn Leonenko, Secretary of FabFoudation Europe;
•  – Discussion of the role of youth in urban reconstruction and development;
•  – Nata Zhyzhchenko shared her experience of preserving and adapting cultural heritage;
•  – Sofia Bondar and Elina Polyanska spoke in more detail about the use of remote technologies in urban research;
•  – An overview of the activities of volunteer organisations such as Smilіvі, Dakh, BoMozhemo, BUR, and Wooden Lace of Chernihiv;
•  – Iryna Dasyuk spoke about the involvement of young people in the post-war recovery process;
•  – Serhii Bezborodko summed up the project, presenting the achievements and results of the activities.

“Such events are extremely important for our city, especially for young people. They contribute to the development of new knowledge, exchange of experience, and cooperation between different organisations and activists..

We are proud of the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic”, which has become a platform for such an important forum and look forward to further successful projects and initiatives.
