Representatives of Kent County visited the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University
On November 1, Chernihiv region welcomed a delegation from Kent County (UK) that visited the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University to strengthen international cooperation and discuss the prospects of education and science development within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Kent County and Chernihiv region signed the day before. The delegation was headed by the Leader of Kent County Council, Roger Gough, who was accompanied by Councillor Jordan Meade.
During the visit, representatives of the British side familiarized themselves with the activities of higher education institutions in Chernihiv region. Representatives of higher education institutions had the opportunity to present their innovative educational programs, research projects, and achievements in scientific activities. This made it possible to demonstrate to international partners the high level of training in the region and the readiness to expand cooperation in the academic and scientific fields.
The participants of the meeting discussed topical issues of higher education development and ways of possible cooperation between educational institutions of Chernihiv and Kent County. The British guests expressed interest in cooperating with Ukrainian educational institutions, particularly in the areas of academic exchange, research, and educational projects.
The Rector, Oleh Novomlynets, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Roger Gough and the leadership of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration for their openness to cooperation and support of higher education institutions in Chernihiv region.
