On 13 May, the University’s Tutoring and Mentoring Centre, in cooperation with the Chernihiv IT Cluster, held the first mentoring session ‘Mastering your resume; tips and tricks’ as part of the educational project ‘Professional Mentoring: First Steps to a Career’. The mentoring session was held in a mixed format. The mentor was Yevhen Patlan, Manager, Build & Release Engineering at Percona, an international IT company.

The event was attended by students of various specialities of the University, the Vocational College of Transport and Computer Technologies, as well as the Vocational College of Economics and Technology. The participants learnt the key aspects of preparing a high-quality CV, received useful tips on how to present it to an employer, and understood the differences between a CV and a resume. The mentor also focused on the threats that may arise when preparing a CV using artificial intelligence technologies, as well as the cases in which you can turn to its help.

This meeting opened a series of mentoring sessions that will help students understand how to build their own career path and take confident steps into the world of professions.
