Practice in Poznań
Our students are very active in their studies, this can also be said about the educational trip to Poznań (Poland). Together with the teacher of the Department of Architecture and Environmental Design Havryk Olha, the students took part in the summer field practice from the Poznań Polytechnic University during June-July 2023.
We would like share with you the impressions from the students about the trip:
Anastasiia:
“The road to Poznań was long and difficult, but it was worth it. The trip to Poznań was very useful for future architects and designers, it was interesting to see and learn all the subtleties and stages of work on architectural projects. In addition, everyone was very impressed by the Poznań Polytechnic University with its modern appearance and warm welcome. The University was very impressive with its modernity, there was a feeling that we got to another planet, which is far ahead of us in development. Thanks to this trip, we had the opportunity to exchange experience with Polish students and teachers on the restoration of objects in the Chernihiv region.”
Hanna:
“Despite the difficult road, the trip to Poznań was incredible. It was interesting to observe the work of Polish students, how in their opinion it would be better to reconstruct our facilities. The Poznań Polytechnic University impresses with its architecture and attitude towards its students. As a designer, the city’s landscaping and architectural forms impressed me. Thanks to this trip, we were able to share our experiences and learn something new.”
Daryna:
“We visited many museums and historical places. We were a little disappointed to see the construction work on the main tourist square of Poznań, but overall, we had a great time and saw many interesting things. In working with the Pol es, we noticed a different approach to project preparation, I think we will adopt this practice in further training. In general, we got a lot of pleasant impressions from the trip, the city and the Poles themselves.”
Kateryna:
“When we arrived in Poland, we were warmly welcomed and quickly resolved the housing issue. The dormitories are very comfortable and well equipped. The Poznań Polytechnic University itself, made a great impression, everything done for the student and his comfort. The students also showed themselves from the good side, very friendly and sociable, so the work went easily, dividing the responsibilities among themselves, the whole team worked. In their free time from practice, they visited beautiful places in the city. I liked everything very much, and left pleasant impressions.”
Olena:
“The trip was very eventful, in Poznań we were able to see various museums, architecture, road planning in relation to buildings, interesting design of rest areas on the streets and much more. I was very surprised by the attitude towards pedestrians and how traffic lights, interactive museums, etc. During practice, we learned how to collect data about the object, to make presentations correctly and in a way that is easy to understand and to present them to the public, to be honest, it was very scary, but we managed. It is also worth mentioning that we worked in groups with foreign students and therefore we communicated with them in English, and this is a unique experience. In general, everything was very unusual and interesting, I am very glad that I took part in it.”
