Partnership “Business University-Community” for the sustainable development of the Chernihiv region

On 12 December, the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University hosted a dialogue forum on Partnership “Business University-Community” for the sustainable development of the Chernihiv region. The event brought together representatives of the academic community, business, and local communities to discuss topical issues of cooperation and sustainable development of the region.

During the meeting, the participants worked on finding mechanisms to establish an effective partnership between the university, business and communities. Representatives had the opportunity to get acquainted with the educational, scientific and technological capabilities of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University to solve various problems and challenges. Particular attention was paid to identifying the priority areas of the university’s activities that are relevant for business and the local community, such as training of highly qualified specialists, certificate programmes of professional development, joint participation in projects, mentoring, etc.

Rector of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University Oleh Novomlynets presented the achievements and activities of the university, emphasising its role as a leading educational and scientific centre in the region, and solemnly presented a letter of gratitude to Tetiana Ruban, Acting Head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Chernihiv region, noting her significant contribution to the development of partnerships.

In his speech, Serhii Shkarlet, Head of the Academic Council of the University, stressed the importance of supporting cooperation between universities and businesses, in particular through the development of dual education, which helps to train specialists focused on the needs of the labour market.

The event ended with the participants thanking all those present for their fruitful work and constructive dialogue. The participants expressed their desire to continue cooperation and implement joint initiatives that will further contribute to the sustainable development of the Chernihiv region.
