Participation of the Department of Foreign Philology in the Global Forum (UK): How Language and Creativity Become Catalysts for Change
From April 1 to 4, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Philology Olena Rosstalna took part in the events of the Skoll World Forum (Oxford, United Kingdom) as a member of the international delegation of the Creativity Pioneers Fund, supported by the Moleskine Foundation (Italy). The forum aimed to unite leaders driving social progress in order to accelerate innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
Olena Rosstalna participated in a range of sessions, including “A Global Gathering of Changemakers,” “Creativity for Social Change,” “Film as a Catalyst of Social Change,” “Collaborative Problem Solving,” and “Words that Shimmer: Creativity and Language as Catalyst for Social Change,” held at Jesus College and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Her contributions to the sessions “Creativity for Social Change” and “Words that Shimmer: Creativity and Language as Catalyst for Social Change” highlighted the essential role of creativity and critical thinking in education and youth engagement, particularly in advancing sustainable development and social responsibility within both academic and broader community contexts.
Special focus was placed on the implementation of creative approaches that help nurture conscious, proactive, and socially responsible young people capable of analytical thinking and equipped to critically navigate the challenges of the modern world.
