Participation in the international symposium “Symposium on Environmental Sciences and Sustainability in Asia and Europe” (Japan)
Kateryna Hnedina, coordinator of startup development, innovations and project-based learning of the Chernihiv Polytechnic National University, took part in the international symposium “Symposium on Environmental Sciences and Sustainability in Asia and Europe”, which was held in Japan (Tsuruoka, Yamagata; in a mixed format) and organised by the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences (UGAS) and Yamagata University (YU).
Speakers from leading universities around the world took part in the symposium: Leibniz Universität Hannover (Germany), University of Turin (Italy), Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Poland), Chernihiv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine).
The key thematic areas of the international symposium, which were in the focus of the speakers and participants:
- climate change;
- forest management;
- sustainable development and start-ups, innovative solutions and technologies;
- advanced monitoring methods;
- artificial intelligence.
As part of the symposium, Kateryna Hnedina delivered a presentation on “Innovative infrastructure and startups-ecosystem of Chernihiv region as a key factor of its sustainable recovery: current state, challenges and ways of growth” and shared her experience of researching the region’s innovation environment and founding the “Insulin without Queues” startup.
